Temple of Luxor Vs Valley of the Kings

Many software developers have delved into Ancient Egypt Slots to bring us some entertainment from that historical period. Genesis Gaming is no different – in fact, they’ve got two games that might appeal if you like this theme.

We’ve highlighted them for you here, so you can decide which one you might like to try.

Temple of Luxor

This is an unusual one, set in temple ruins and boasting two sets of reels. You get two 5 x 5-reel sets to play on, with 50 paylines in play on each set. You might also benefit from the appearance of a gold wild icon if it drops into some good positions on those reels.

There is a bonus icon too, showing an ankh on a red background and a couple of golden snakes. Find two of these on each reel set in the same spin and you will get 10 free games. Before they begin, the pillar separating the two sets of reels will turn into an 11th reel. You can then play on 50 lines which pay in both directions.

Valley of the Kings

Our second foray into ancient Egypt, Valley of the Kings has a stone-like appearance where 50 lines are in action over five reels. A sarcophagus is among the symbols that can appear on those reels, sometimes appearing in full height. The good news is this is the wild icon. Only the scatter will not be replaced by this whenever it appears.

There are free games to be won here if three scatters (or more) are found in one spin. The one to look for is the logo taking on this role.

Our verdict: Which game is our favorite?

Both games look good and provide a good experience for the player. However, the unusual nature of the Temple of Luxor slot, complete with the eleventh reel for the free spins feature, must take the top spot. It provides something we have never seen in a slot game before. It’s quite difficult to say that about a slot, so while Valley of the Kings provides a solid piece of gameplay to enjoy, Temple of Luxor is the better of the two.

Of course, you may think differently. Try them both today and see which one you prefer out of the two. Will Luxor be the best in your eyes as well?
