Fruit Smasher Vs Fruits Gone Wild

Whenever you hear a game that mentions fruit, you probably think – as we often do – that the game is a three-reel basic slot game. However, that isn’t always true. We thought we’d check out a couple of games based on fruit that might surprise you. Will Fruit Smasher be a smashing success, or will you go wild for Fruits Gone Wild?

Fruit Smasher

This game uses 10 lines and five reels, but those reels take on a blocky appearance. The square icons all look like fruits though – strawberry, melon, pineapple, they’re all there. Just square!

There is a wooden box with a question mark on it that is used as a wild multiplier. Meanwhile, the free spins symbol appears, rather oddly, as a fish tank with a fish swimming around in it. Find three, four, or five of them to win 10, 20, or 30 free games.

Fruits Gone Wild

This is where we swap out the blocky look for a neon, futuristic, fruity look. The fruits all appear in more familiar form here, while the background appears to bently moving towards you.

We get 20 lines this time, over five reels, and there is a sparkling wild involved. Expanded wilds can also occur in the game. You might also spot the BONUS GAME symbol that can trigger free spins whenever three or more appear. You will only get five free games, but every set of two bonus icons you receive will add a free spin into the free spin bin in the game. That means you can collect some before you trigger the feature.

Our verdict – which game did we prefer?

There are some clear differences between these two games from Stake Logic. However, we think the game you choose to play will be dependent on the approach you prefer. If you like futuristic-looking games, Fruits Gone Wild will be the better option. We prefer the Fruit Smasher game simply because it is unusual. That blocky approach sets it apart from all the other fruity games out there. We can’t think of anything else that might be along similar lines, can you?

Our advice would be to try both to see what you think. You might even find you like both. If you are keen to play a fruit-based game that doesn’t have just three reels, one of the above titles might fit.
