We predict the next few years will see more interactive slots released in virtual reality. We also think more traditional versions of slots will remain available for the foreseeable future. But what are the ways this version of a slot game could catch on?
We could play new immersive versions of our favorite slots
Which slot game world would you like to step into? Think about your favorite slots and how much more entertaining they would be if you managed to play them in virtual reality instead of looking at a computer, tablet, or smartphone screen. Stepping into those worlds would give us something even more entertaining to enjoy.
They could introduce a new way of gaming to the masses
Virtual reality is already established as a popular way of gaming. However, it hasn’t been adopted by everyone. Some people find the cost of the additional equipment prohibitive, so they are waiting for it to come down in price.
If that equipment was cheaper, and there were lots of slot games developed to work in VR, we could see lots more people diving in to have a go. Wouldn’t you like to do that?
They would make bonus levels more exciting
Can you imagine playing a bonus level in your favorite slot game in virtual reality? It might involve stepping inside a graveyard to uncover graves to dig for prizes. Maybe you will face off against a pirate ship, hopefully hitting it enough times to score some wins. Perhaps you will step into ancient Egypt in search of some treasures. The possibilities never end, and we think software developers will come up with plenty of new and exciting features for us to enjoy in virtual reality too.
We may be some way off from enjoying all our newly-released slots in 3D. However, we think that day is coming – it’s just a case of how long it takes to arrive. Maybe one day you will sign into your favorite casino, choose a slot game to play, grab your VR headset, and get ready to enter a world you have never visited before.
