How Do You Play 3 Card Poker In A Casino?

Three card poker uses just three cards, as the name suggests. The smaller number of cards makes it one of the easier versions of poker to play. No matter how many players are present in the game, you only play the dealer. However, you will get a chance to score a prize if your cards are good enough as well, alongside winning over the dealer.

As such, you must make an ante wager or what is known as a 'pair plus wager'. This means you are betting you'll get either a pair or a hand that ranks higher than that - hence 'pair plus'. You could also make both bets.

Once you get your cards, you will see what you have. If you have a bad hand, you will fold rather than making another bet. If you have a good hand, you may decide to put up a play wager against the dealer. This means you are guessing that your hand may be better than the one held (out of sight, of course) by the dealer. Pair plus payouts may range from 1/1 for a pair to 40/1 if you get a straight flush. Ante payouts are smaller, going from 1/1 to 5/1.
