Launch of New Jersey's Online Golden Nugget Casino Delayed

Aany of New Jersey's online casinos opened their doors when iGaming went live on November 21st for a soft launch and November 26th for the official launch. Golden Nugget was forced to delay its online casino launch, however. The online casino that is powered by Bally Technologies is now not due to open until December 2, 2013. The reason for the delay? Golden Nugget was unable to secure approval from New Jersey's Division of Gaming Enforcement.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement stated that Golden Nugget's online casino failed to meet specific criteria during the test period, though no details were given as to what the casino did wrong. Therefore, Golden Nugget must make the necessary improvements and run additional system tests before receiving final clearance from the Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Another potential hurdle faced by Golden Nugget and other New Jersey online casinos comes with credit card transactions. American Express, Bank of America, Paypal, and Wells Fargo have all announced they will not accept any gambling-related credit card transactions from online U.S. casinos. For now, players will have to choose to make their deposits with cash at participating casinos, by mailing a check, or arranging a wire transfer.
