Shoot is a monthly football (what we call “soccer” in the US) magazine that has been published in the UK since 1969. Shoot! Slots is a terrific new slot game from the people at Microgaming that has a fantastic retro soccer look and feel.
Soccer Style
The whole look of Shoot! is soccer from the 1970s and 80s. For hardcore Euro soccer fans, this game is a dream come true. This is a robust five-reel, 50-payline game! Free Spins – When three or more of the scatter symbol, and old-style football collector’s card, show up free spins are awarded. When they hit, players can get them in lots of 35, which is huge. They can be re-triggered during a free-spin round, which is nice, but a rare occurrence. Because of the large number of free spins awarded, the free-spin round is not as common as it is on many other games. It is an awesome perk when it does hit though!
Bonus Round – The Magazine Bonus Round is a side game aimed squarely at soccer fans. They are presented with a selection of collector cards from which to pick – picking the right card results in bonus winnings. While it is fun to play with your special knowledge of the game, players should be aware that the images on the cards do not affect the outcome of the bonus round – it is a straightforward pick-and-win type of game.
Not a US Friendly Game
Unfortunately for those of us who live in the United States, Microgaming is not currently a US friendly provider, and their games are not available to us. We heartily encourage Microgaming to return to our shores, but, in the meantime, there are some other great games available for sports fans!
