Triple Gold Or Triple Triple Gold

Gold appears in a lot of slots today, but we’ve noticed quite a few ‘Triple’ slots popping up as well. Two of them come to us from WGS, and they’ve developed a lot of superb slots around triple or wild themes.

So, we thought we would put two of these games head-to-head. Which of these two similarly-named games is going to come out on top?

Triple Gold

This is a simple three-reel, one-payline game with bar symbols and the Triple Gold logo appearing as you start spinning. Unusually, you need to click a button to view the paytable, rather than it appearing on the same screen as the reels. However, you’ll see you can play up to three coins on the line with each spin. Playing three lower-value coins is worthwhile, as the prizes are tripled too.

If you find three Triple Gold logos (these are also wilds) you can win up to 15,000 coins. One wild in a win secures a 3x multiplier. This is boosted to 9x with two wilds in play.

Triple Triple Gold

This has a similar look to the original game, especially since the logo appears once again as the wild. The paytable is on a second screen as before, and there are sevens, bars, and cherries to find. With many similarities between the two games, you might wonder why you would play this one.

Well, the secret lies with the wild logo. If you get one in a winning line, the multiplier here is 9x. If two appear in the winning line, the multiplier is enhanced to reach a huge 81x the usual prize. Again, the top prize is 15,000 coins for a three-coin bet on the reels when three wilds appear on the payline.

Our verdict – which of these two WGS games is the best?

You can see the obvious similarities between these two games. We like them both, but the bigger multipliers in Triple Triple Gold surely put this one as the best of the two. The original game is a great one to try, but if you are prepared to go for bigger and better multipliers, who knows what you might win?

So, while we can certainly recommend both games, the second is the winner in our eyes. We’d recommend the three-coin bet if you can, even if it means reducing the coin value.
