Butterflies II Slots

You don’t see too many slot games set inside a garden, but when you do, they tend to be charming to look at. Butterflies II takes on that setting, and with the butterfly theme made obvious by the title, we’re curious to see how many of them make it onto the reels.

So, as we learn more about Butterflies II, let’s cover all the facts inside our full game review right here.

Who is the developer?

You might already know this if you have played the first game. We can confirm that WGS has created this one.

There is a practice version to choose if you wish

We chose this version to check out the game for our review. It’s cool to try as it looks just like the real thing, except with demo credits to use.

Is this a butterfly theme?

It is, but it is more exact to say it is a garden theme. There are mushrooms, flowers, caterpillars, and other garden-based items to find as well.

A pleasing design sets the scene

No garden would look right without flowers, and there are lots of those growing around the reels of this game. We can see a brick wall in the background too, and there are butterflies flitting around on the flowers.

Learning how to play Butterflies II slots

For starters, we can tell you there are five reels here. The game doesn’t have any progressive jackpots though.

There are two clear icons to watch out for as you begin play. The wild is labeled and shows a house (i.e. a cocoon) in a circle along with a butterfly. This substitutes for other symbols as you would expect it to. It only appears on the first reel though.

We also get a scatter in action in the game. It’s labeled as such and shows a glorious pink flower inside the garden. It’s easier to scoop scatter prizes, since it doesn’t matter where those scatters fall if you have enough to trigger a prize.

How many paylines are there?

WGS has fitted 25 lines into this charming game.

Bets start from one cent per line

You’ll see the plus and minus controls underneath the first reel of the game. WGS often uses a range from one cent to $10 for its coins, and it has done so again here. Only one coin is playable on every line though.

Several pages in the paytable

It may look as if there is only one page, but there are arrows at the bottom of the first page that let you go to the others. It’s hard to see them among all the flowers!

The paytable goes through all the rules you need to know before you play. It shows the value of the icons in the game too.

Unlocking the bonus feature in Butterflies II

There is a special icon called House, although it looks like a cocoon. So, we guess that is a house for the caterpillar to use when changing into a butterfly.

Anyway, if this appears in any position on the first reel of the game, you’ll receive any prizes that occur in that spin. Once that is complete, you’ll see the butterfly emerging from its cocoon.

As it flies for the first time, it lands on one or more random symbols elsewhere on the reels. In doing so, those symbols change into wild symbols. You can then see how many prizes you may have gotten as a result of that.

No free games available in this slot

Sadly, there is nothing that confirms the presence of any free spins.

Do we know what the RTP is?

No, this doesn’t appear on the paytable or elsewhere.

Our rating for Butterflies II

So… do we love this medium volatility slot game? It’s simpler than you might think, but the wild is the key element here. Whenever it shows up on its only reel – the first one – the butterfly feature begins. It means you could benefit from way more wilds on the screen than just that one. We’re giving this 7/10 points.

What is the best prize you could get?

The top symbol is worth 3,000x your line bet for five on a line. This is a beautiful butterfly, although the same one appears in another position on another symbol too. Make sure you know what they look like before you play.
